G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

We’ve had some nice warm days here in Florida but today it was like 44 degrees this morning. Burrrrrrr
I really enjoyed this piece and the added bonus of the pictures.
Looks so nice and warm.
Such a huge contrast from wheat we are experiening here in NJ. LOL!
My happiest day for quite a while Colleen, I’ve not been allowed to go to beach for a swim. So after 20 months away from my favourite venue, yesterday was a great day. And to make the day even better, I met up with Maree on the beach, (our lovely friend who introduced me to Carole), and she’s a beach lover like me. 🏖️🌏💙
The beach is in our blood it runs deep. Australia has a vast diverse terrain which draws on the very soul within us. The wisdom and fulfilment floods into our being if we allow it. Bless you Ivor enjoy your beach times they are so healing.

It would’ve been a very short video Peter, I only lasted about 15 mins, and the waves were reasonably small….

Your poem says it all so beautifully!
I find the beach so healing! We used to live 7 miles from The Pacific. 🙂 We spent a lot of time at the beach.
HUGS!!! 🙂

I’m living vicariously through your poem and photo, Ivor, since we’re in the throes of winter. I’d love to spend an hour or two on Ocean Grove beach!
