A Fern Called ‘Hope’

A Fern Called “Hope”

I am home again

How did that happen

I wonder about life

Watering my fern called “Hope”

Tell me how

There is more to life

Now that I am home

Eating bananas and ice-cream

Tell me when

There is more to life

Now that I am home

Listening to tunes of mine

Tell me whatever

There is more to life

Now that I am home

Drinking a red wine

Tell me why

There is more to life

Now that I am home

Dreaming of you tonight

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Home should be place for safety, comfort, relaxing, renewing, growing, etc! I wish everyone had such a home. Especially all the children in our world.
I am SO grateful for my home! 🙂

    1. Thank you dear Carolyn, the warmth of your words comforts my soul.. I have been to a fellow Poet’s book launch today… at the Analogue Academy.. It was truly a wonderful event, and I’m so happy that I made the effort to go along.. the afternoon was spiritually moving, his readings were superb, and a local singer sang a melody to one of his lovely poems… and of course I cried.. Maybe a poem and some pic’s tomorrow… 💚💙🌏
