A Line In the Sand

I am searching for the olive tree

Please come walk with me

We will go to the seashore

And watch the doves soar

Hold my other hand

As I scribe a line in the sand

A message to the sky

Love and peace I decry

Will I receive an honest reply?

Or are we still on standby?

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. What a powerful trio…photo, poem and song! Hope we all receive an honest reply, Ivor.
As Moby says, it’s a tedious journey. But we will keep walking together hand in hand! We will keep being an example love and peace and advocating love and peace!

      1. Hi Carolyn … my book has been withdrawn from Barnes and Noble, because of their ongoing problems… and now my publishers are going with ‘Amazon’ .. and I’ve now done all they copyright requirements..
So after last week’s big effort of cataloguing the dates of my ‘book’s’ poems from my blog site, when they first published on web/blog site..
I’ve just spent the whole day deleting all of my published blog poems that appear in my book ..
and because a number of my poems appear multiple times through my blog, I had to delete about 200 poems !! … one at time ….
        Wow … job done … Phew.. πŸ˜€πŸ˜Ž
And this morning I have just deleted all of my relevant poems from my “Go Dog Go Cafe” blogsite… wow … the whole process over the last 7 days has been tiring and stressful, but hopefully my efforts will pay off in the long run… πŸ˜€πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜
