Who is Watching?


Are the clouds clearing?

Are the stars shining brighter?

Is the man on the moon smiling wider?


Today the sunlight is more radiant

The universe is more observant

Is the world more united?

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  9. Aw. Thinking of you. I know these “anniversaries” are difficult.
    But, also, know you are remembering the precious memories and smiling.
    I’m thinking of Carole, too, and am so glad you two had each other in life and love. 💜
    The balloons are so bright and wonderful! Especially that penguin! 🐧

It was super of Bushboy to let me use his photos .. and as soon as I saw them .. ‘these are my poem’ .. they are perfect, and of course a flying penguin watching over us, is such a gorgeous concept, that truly intrigued my imagination .. … and I always try to create something special for Carole on this day … there is the flowers of course … but today I started making a flower pot stand for my collection of Dad’s orchids…. I’ll send you some pic’s later in the week … ((hugs))

  17. sending you light, love and peace today………I can’t imagine what you are going through and it breaks my heart to know you had to go through this. I am sure she is so darn proud of all you have done….
