G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Oh Ivor Iβm so sorry for my comment about Spring on your previous poem. It is Autumn where you are, and sometimes Iβm so stupid. I did not mean to be insensitive π
Where are you? Photo?
Powerful and poignant poem, Ivor. We can all relate to the feelings and wonderings you’ve expressed so well.
Bestest wishes, prayers, and (((HUGS)))
Oh ..the photo… one from two and a half years ago … when I was in my hospital isolation room … and my poem is a combination of thoughts from the last few days… I finished my pot plant stand tonight… looks great … ((Hugs))
Oh, good! I was worried you might be in the hospital right now! Whew!
YAY for your pot plant stand! I bet it IS great! I look forward to seeing photos of it! π
Loneliness is never chased away, out of our lives, so, we need to, come up with working ways, to cope, to coexist in peace with it, and until we are, able to accomplish this, we will, never be, comfortable, with, lonely.
I’m glad I read some of the comments. I thought you had gone back to hospital. Knowing what that photo represents and the anxious feelings of your words…..
I was having mixed emotions and thoughts tis week, so I write them down, and words I put into a poem seem to clear my head … and then off into the garden I go … πππ
So poignant
