Again the ‘rebog button’ didn’t work on my ‘Go Dog Go Cafe’ site, so I have copied and pasted my article here on own WP site for my followers to enjoy
‘Morning Whispers’ is a poem I wrote from under the shelter of my courtyard verandah, back in June (winter) 2018 ..
Morning Whispers
whistling palms
visions of calm
looking up and over
my verandah roof
above, neighbouring windbreak trellis
through the whispering
a drooping willow tree
sheltered aside
by dark-green cypress pines
beyond their leaf’s silhouette
the sky’s a clear
morning blue
no gathering clouds in sight
my future arises bright
Ivor Steven (c) June 2018
G’day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I’m an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I’ve been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I’ve been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems. Sounds so peaceful and bright, glad that you’d experienced such a calming time in your life, because it’s really hard to come by these days.

“This night will end
This heart will mend
And I’ll smile again
Tomorrow morning
As right as rain
As pure and plain
I will rise again
Tomorrow morning…” 🙂

Thank you for those lovely lyrics Carolyn ..
not blue sky at the moment .. I’m having a BBQ. 10’C and some cold rain, although I am under my verandah … I love doing these Throwback Friday articles .. they make me go back through my files to look for a poem .. otherwise they would be still tucked away and I would see them again 😄🌏😊😍
