Again, I cannot get the reblog button to work at my Go Dog Go Cafe site, so I have ‘copied & pasted’ my article today …

My poem here today is from August 2018, and I am not able to explain the thoughts behind my words, except that some promised outcomes to me, were not forfilled and I felt emotionally let down and cheated …
Pendulum Lights
I was blinded
By the light
Losing the fight
I was silenced
By the noise
Standing without poise
I was attacked
By the crown
Breaking me down
I was sentenced
By the people
Hiding under their steeple
Hung out to dry
Nailed to a cross
Punished for my loss
Surviving, burnt my courage
I battled to be bold
Returning from the cold
I refound my faith
Nullifying what they stole
Purifying my lost soul
Ivor Steven (c) Aug 2018

nicely said and disappointing to say the least…

Aw… 😦 We can all relate to your feelings when you wrote this poem, Ivor.
That you refound your faith is the important thing…you battled, survived, rebound-ed/bounced back and have shared what you’ve felt and learned…helping all of us. 🙂 I hope you know you are a light…shining bright bringing hope, encouragement, compassion, understanding, wisdom, kindness and ETC! 🙂 “Shine bright like a diamond…”
No matter what happens we must keep our hearts, minds, hands, eyes, and arms open. 🙂
Wowza…that song really touched my heart. 🙂

Ivor, this read as so personal and yet so relatable (in different ways). I love the expressions you used to paint the sorrows and tribulations. Beautiful.

Do you visit the site via your reader or do you use the full site address? Just wondered because my reader is playing up at the moment.
You could try going online and using the full site address, then try the reblog unless you’re doing that already.

Yes I visit most sites via my reader, but then I open them up to the full site address, especially for Go Dog Go Cafe, which is one of my own site addresses 😊

Do you come out of reader before you do that?

I haven’t looked into the problems I have with the Reader, for now, I’ve put them on hold, right now I have neither the energy not inclination to sort it.

Empowering, Ivor! Reminds me of the old saying, “Don’t let the bastards grind you down!” A wonderfully written poem. ❤
