G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

The tragedy is so vast … and damaging … I didn’t know to put the enormity of the situation into words … but I think these 2 little stanzas said it all 🥲🌏
I believe there will be some catastrophe like the pandemic that will get rid of many of us so that the world can revive once more. It will far out live us.
The poem explores the reality of lost value and the need to re-instate it once again. I perceive a feeling of regeneration from the poem, Ivor. Nice one my colleague poet.
We don’t even realize, that we humanes, are, the biggest problem, in this crisis of, global warming, but we are all also, part of, the, solution to this, problem as well, and, it all depends on, how we, take, initiative, to, do something, about it.
climate change has affected not just wildlife but food source to thousands of starving children, such a sad state of affairs. you say it so poignantly Ivor.
Haha .. I had a million thought in my head that I wanted to say … then after a day of scribling this that and the other … everything I wanted to say fell into only six lines …

Call me a pessimist but I’m not encouraged by what I’m seeing… Just left a comment..politicians make things happen….and therein lies the problem…to me
