His New Sanctuary is Luxury


Sometimes in life

Just when it’s right

There’s that moment

And tonight’s that moment

Sometimes we are lucky

Against all the odds

There’s that fortunate time

I am ecstatic and feeling blessed


Gratefully thankful

I write these words on today’s Newspaper

Reading tomorrow’s weather forecast

Happiness is here

Here right beside me

Under my verandah roof

Comfy and relaxed

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      Woof, woof 🐶 I am up on Ivor’s bed now, near his pillows .. waiting for him to get out bed so I can have some brekkie 🐶🍞
      You know, I think we are getting on really well .. he takes me for a walk everyday , some very interesting places, where I get to meet other doggies ..
      Woof .. and people give me treats and cuddles 🤗 .. sometimes I sit in his car while he’s in the supermarket .. but that’s ok because I get to bark as much as I like at the all the people outside the car 🚙🐶 .. anyhow please say hello to Coop’s for me 🐶🤗 woof, woof

      2. Haha …we went for our walk, but we both got a bit wet .. woof, woof .. didn’t worry me, but the old bloke was cursing at the clouds … We are home, warm are dry now .. woof, woof, do you walk in the rain Coop’s .. 🐶
