G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I find the rain terrifying nowadays with all of the flash floods that have been happening. I wonder when it will be our turn!
Wowza! That photo, the song/vid, and your haiku are a perfect trio!
A smile after pain to me is like a rainbow after the rain. 🌈 🌈 🌈 Keep smiling, Ivor!
My calendar tells me holidays from all over the world and says the 5th of Sept is Father’s Day in AUS and NZL! So Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads! 🙂
HUGS!!! for you! 🙂
PATS and RUBS for Sir Frankie!!! 🙂
Many parts of the US were saturated with rain from Hurricane Ida. There is a lot of flooding throughout the world – karma? Stay dry and give Frankie a hug.
We have had a very wet summer here. I love rain and the summer rainy season in Florida, but even I am looking forward to October when the weather will be drier. My sinuses are tired of the mold in the air.
My complaints are trivial compared to the disastrous floods in many areas. Yes, I believe that Mother Nature is crying angry tears!
Wishing you and Frankie lots of more spring-like weather! ❤ ❤ ❤
Thank you Cheryl .. the bad rains have been world wide … my cousins in Philadelphia were hit, but luckily they are all Ok and with minimal damage .. .. And yes we have upset the balance of nature … mankind has got to clean up its own backyard.. .. and stop pretending humans own this planet 🌏 😊🤗

Nor am I, Ivor. 😊 But the monsoon and the unseasonal rains have been very erratic these past few years.
