G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Life is not always tidy, allowing us to tie up loose ends. Love the Isaac Newton quote!
Take care, Ivor! ❤

Yes. Always unfinished. But that always leaves something to do tomorrow …

I’m afraid our world has burnt too many of its own bridges .. the repair mission is almost impossible 😢🙂

So true! The quote AND your haiku, true. SIGH. Such powerful lyrics in that song, too.

More bridges to cross but hopefully none in need of mending.
Sorry about your lockdown, thankfully they are usually short in length over there.
Have you had your first vaccination yet?
I can’t help wondering how many more lockdowns are to come – for all of us; this virus isn’t going anywhere.

A very good Haiku Ivor. Yes, burning our bridges ususally does leave unfinished business behind! Well done.
