G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Important questions and ponderings, Ivor. Especially “where to now?” We continue to take one day at a time…face our fears, with hope, and travel the roads when we can. We wonder while we wander. 🙂
Amanda asks a lot of important questions in her song, too.
(((HUGS))) 🙂
PATS and RUBS to Sir Frankie! 🙂
PS…a quote I’ve been holding on to recently…
“We often suffer more from our fears, than from the dangers of our situation.” – Norm MacDonald
Lovely quote Carolyn ..
and I fear for our refugees, and I ponder what they go through, and my poem is a heartfelt response to the situation in Afghanistan 🌏🤗😢💕

Yes, the road ahead is long and winding with not more than a headlight to see our way!

I feel great empathy for refugees around the world, with only broken headlights to find their way …

Yes, it is overwhelmingly sad to see what is happening! No easy solutions either!
