G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Coffee’s brewing at the Cafe … and we might be opening international borders soon ..
Australia is poised to reopen its international borders from November to again allow its citizens to come and go without seeking permission as states close in on key coronavirus vaccination targets.
The federal government will on Friday begin to issue international COVID-19 vaccination certificates and remains also in talks with other countries to work out which vaccines will be recognised in international travel bubble arrangements.
and cake too! watching the news closely here too. borders are opening up with South East Asian countries now for Malaysian citizens and hopefully with other regions soon. Will be waiting to pack my bags and fly! Looks like most countries are taking the cue from each other. Living with the endemic will see some changes in everyday practices but I know human resilience will navigate that with ease. Cheers Ivor, happy to read good news these days and not depressing statistics.
The stats are are going up in Melbourne
.. hopefully the vaccine program will start to be effective soon
Iβm at the Box Office Cafe now ππππΆ
Our vaccination program is coming along well. Positive cases are going down. Very hopeful here. enjoy your day at the cafe. Frankie must be excited to be out and about too.
