G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. A powerful heart-touching write, Ivor. But it made me smile, too.
    Your title is perfect!

PS…I haven’t been around the past few days…so I’m trying to play a little catch up now on WP.
Poor Little Coop has been ill for 4 days. I’ll try to post on it later today if I have time.

  2. This is amazing in one way, witty in the other. From an amusing park of actions to desperate adventures, Ivor cleverly shows exactly what the soul of many long for during these trying moments wrought with confusion and hardship. The soul longs for things and places new or adventurous and would use whatever means available to reach to them. This is a true replica of the feeling of many. Very insightful 👏 my friend.
