Today I read these incredible words on Colleen Brown’s “The Chatter Blog” site.
“Tho’ my voice maybe tuneless
Don’t discount my song
My song sings emotion – pitch perfect” … Faherty Brown
Here is the link to Colleen’s article >

And after reading her beautiful quote … a poem that I wrote back in May 2018, now appears to be more meaningful than what I originally thought my words were about.
Right or Wrong, It’s Your Song (Revised)
Who knows the words to your song
Who sings in tune to your song
Who is to say a song is right
Or a song is wrong
It is not their song
It is not my song
It is your song
Right or wrong
And we we all here for the same song
Let us all sing the song
Ivor Steven (c) January 2022

So wonderfully said, Ivor!

Your poem is so perfect, and apt one to go with Colleen’s work. Together they bring out such lovely rich meaning.

Your poem is powerful!
Melanie’s song is a blast from the past!
Yes, we all need to sing along! 🎶 Sing together, united and strong! 🙂
Listen to others when they sing their song! 🎶 In doing so, we’ll never go wrong! 🙂

I love how we can sing together and we don’t have to sing identically. 🙂 Thank you Ivor 💙

We will sing poorly, but with feeling, together! 🙂

Your efforts never flag, Ivor. That’s what I like about your: you’re determined. You’d make a hell of a rugby player, lowering your head and plowing through the opposition!!

I was an Aussie Rules player, and I used to win the ‘Most Determined Player’ award quite often …

See! I knew you had the rugby genes in your blood!

Competing against the Americans, we pull out our best weapons, use all the careful cheats we have developed over the years, and deny them the easy scores.

It’s important, for us, to stay true to what we stand for, but, sometimes, we let the noises in from outside of us, and, if we are, easily, affected, by what others perceive us as, then, we lose outlrselves, too, easily.
