Rebirth the Blossom

Understanding our time

Is no easy rhyme

After self-destruction

There is resurrection

After the fall

There is winter and spring

After the blossom

There is fruit to eat

After last years sour feast

There is nature’s regeneration

At our feet

After the cycle repeats

Can our dirty clouds be revived?

To rebirth our wheat

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. A powerful poem, Ivor! And I find hope shining in it. It brought joy-tears. Nature has a way of giving us human-beans hope…I wish we human-beans would do more to give it hope back. Help it, save it, encourage it to endure the way it is meant to endure and thrive. πŸ™‚
That song is so sweet and wonderful.
