Over at Go Do Go Cafe’s Throwback Friday, I presented another old poem that seemed reflect the war dilemma in the Ukraine at the moment
Today’s Throwback is a poem I wrote in September 2018, however the theme of my piece seems to be disturbingly appropriate for present war situation in the Ukraine.
Where Is TheirTomorrow
I eat, I drink, I sleep
I casually dream of yesterday
I Shamefully wonder about tomorrow
I am walking along my sunny street
I am alive and free as a bird
But I am anxiously emotional about tomorrow
Will the children wake-up without crying?
Will the children see sunlight today?
Will the children be with their parents tomorrow?
How can the heartless leaders sleep?
How can they not hear the voices of today?
How can they continue to lie about tomorrow?
