Over at “Go Dog Go Cafe’s, Throwback Friday”, I presented my poem “Crooked Ways” which I wrote 3 years ago …
I originally wrote this in January 2019, (today I have revised and updated the poem) The piece is from when I was home recovering from my second stroke, and before I unfortunately suffered my third stroke in early February

Crooked Ways (revised)
I’m not to be told, how to live my life
It’s now a decade since having lost my wife
I’m not a great philosopher
Nor a modern fashion writer
I’m not a sprightly young surfer
I’ve no money to buy a new carrier
Too old to be a toiling plumber
And these days I prefer to pen poetry
Some say your never too old
Whatever, I shall always be bold
With my plans to reach for the stars
And continue to travel my crooked ways

Yes we do adapt. The beauty of a journal is looking back and seeing just that. 🙂

Australia is a beautiful place! You have traveled your crooked ways very well, and in spite of setbacks, still have your voice! Well done my friend!

Thanks Dwight … gratefully I have been allowed to continue on, albeit a bit crookedly, and apparently Carole is not ready for me yet …
