G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thank you Carolyn … I am a Weary Writer at the moment … I have been working on my new manuscript “Perceptions” non-stop for the whole week … I think I’ll be finished this morning …✍️📖 .. I’ll email you the manuscript later today … yeah 🤗🌏💕📖📕
Yes … you get on a roll and the words are flowing like a flooding river and cannot stop for fear you’ll lose the plot … finally we hit the the dam wall … yes, I a need to rest for a while .. 🌏🤗😴😉
that’s a hard stage. Sometimes I find the rest can involve going back and figuring out why you started writing the thing in the first place. At least that’s my process. Maybe it’s time for a walk? At least it looks like a nice day coming up – sunny now and that wind has dropped a bit.
You are so very kind Ivor. I’m having trouble finding people to read it before I publish it. Would you be interested in reading it now if I sent you a digital copy on email? For free. And give me feedback? The few who have read it have given mixed reviews. Which I fully understand. 🙂 But you’ve been such a supporter of Yellow Door I would love to send you an early copy.
I like your hopeful ending of not giving up!

Oh I can relate to that . Writing exhaustion is something that I know well. It’s a long, lonely road sometimes. 🙂
