Tullawalla

Dedication

This book is dedicated to my late wife Carole

Spiralling

I look

upwards

there

on spiralling

warm air

a white petal

fluttering

like a dove

between

here and there

hovering

on a cloud of love

there

waving

from above

my angel

forever

faithful

I wave

β€œoh, my love,

aren’t you tired yet?”

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. Where is Love?

Behind every word There is a thought Between every thought
There is an emotion Underneath the emotion
There is a heartbeat Below the heartbeat There is a soul
Within the soul There lives love

    1. Thank you dear Carolyn… at one stage I was so disappointed at losing my contract with the my original publisher, I was going to give up on republishing Tullawalla, and then I had the manuscript knocked back at a few publishing establishments… things were not looking good for β€œTullawalla” … then I took on the scary job of self publishing … oh wow what a task for the uninitiated… I was battling and depressed with my inadequacies .. but somehow I persisted… and then along came my β€œFairy Godmother” editor/publisher, Judy from Jaymah Press .. she has been the β€œbestest” and understood my book and my passion … and wow… here is Tullawalla again, bigger and betterer than ever before … I thank you from the centre of my heart for your kindness and support β€οΈπŸ€—πŸŒπŸ’•πŸ“–
