The World Could Be Falling Down




I was walking in yesterday’s deluge

up a steep holy hillside

talking to my fading shadow

that was stalking deep puddles

while I was balking today’s thunderbolts




my knees were knocking in fright

and my hips were rocking like Noah’s Ark

while shovelling leftover manure in the dark




nature’s mocking the world full of old lonely hearts

and blocking the future’s already drowning restart

    1. Thank you Carolyn .. the painting is a piece of wall artwork from the Box Office Cafe … me and Frankie haven’t been able get there for “3” weeks … ouchie … we have really missed our outings 😉🐶 .. maybe we’ll get there on the weekend ☕️🍰..
      I think the poem was written this time last year, when we were back in lockdown because of Covid … I suppose I was sad at the time, with where our world was heading 😉🤗🌏💕🐶

      6. I’ve been taking him on a 300 yd walk for a few days and today I think I’ll be able to go further .. things are finally feeling betterer 🤗🌏💕🐶
