Featured Photo: by Derrick Knight, and a sincere thank you to Derrick for permitting me to use his fabulous image here in collaboration with my poem. This is now our “40th” collaborative article, and our joint book “Perceptions” is now in the hands of my editor/publisher (Judy, from Jaymah Press), and hopefully, the book will be in print before Christmas
Standing On Unstable Ground
Do not make me laugh
The pain would cut me in half
Instead
Pass me yesterday’s leftover chaff
Alas
I cannot leave you an autograph
I am a wounded grey donkey
Standing on unstable ground
Feeling disabled and lonely
And my inner damage is yet to be found

awww sending love to my donkey friends. 💖💖

They are gorgeous animals and I love how they are allowed to wander around in the villages in Derrick’s area 🤗🌏💕

This is so lovely and I thought you might have been feeling a bit like the mule from your posts these days-:)

Yes, my progress has stagnated the last few days. I am off to see the Doc this morning for my X-ray results ??

Thank you Dwight .. I’m afraid my imagery is far too accurate .. my recovery seems to have stagnated a bit and progress is minimal 😉

And until that donkey gets whatever’s making it hurt on the inside out, it will never live freely, and wild, like it’s, meant to…

I love donkeys! and Derrick always takes such beautiful photos of them! 🙂
Aw, on your poem…and on your pain. 😦
I hope the inner and outer pains are healed soon. In the meantime, keep being a patient patient. Continuing to send healing thoughts and wishes and prayers.

Thank you dear Carolyn … our collaborative book is my piece of sunshine at the moment .. I’m ecstatic with how it’s shaping up … and something to keep my mind active… computer work has come to a standstill … I’m afraid I was too sore to go out to the Geelong Writers dinner event last night, and that “hurt” … hopefully September will be a betterer month for me … 🤗🌏😉🐶

I’m so happy the book is being sunshine for you! 🙂
Be patient with yourself and your body. It will all get betterer in time. I was so shocked how long it took for my knee to heal and get to a place I could sit without elevating it and not feel the pain.
Yes, here’s hoping September is betterer!
I just posted my birthday post! I hope you can do something you enjoy doing to help me celebrate. 😀
