I Could Be Wrong

I Could Be Wrong?

I have completed my ‘New Folder’ of poems

And I am satisfied with my final 160 selections

Sometimes my words sound young and wild

Other times my poems are nostalgic and mild

I write about what my eyes hear

I hear the stars sing to my soul

I see the universe in a blade grass

I feel love and compassion flow from my heart

I have been pondering about a book ‘Title’

For this latest collection of poems

I have tentatively chosen, “Until Eyes Hear Sound”

And I am wondering?

Am I right, or am I wrong?

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Yes, you are right! A wonderful message and title! 🙂

PS…Eons ago, when my youngest kiddo (now a middle-aged adult! 😮 ) was just a little preschooler, and she’d say something important to me…and I’d respond…(like okay or yes or no) she’d often take her little hands and put them on each side of my face and make me look right at her/into her eyes. When she had my full attention, she’d say, “Now answer.” I’d say to people, “She thinks we should listen with our eyes.” 🙂
