G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

It is good to see this fun poem illustrated with your own snail pictures.
Thank you Cherylโฆ Iโm glad you enjoyed my whimsical piece โฆ I wondered why he was climbing my front window in the middle of the afternoon ๐๐๐ถ๐๐
Thank you Isadora โฆ poor snail, it was the middle of the afternoon and not the time for a snail to be climbing a window โฆ I wondered why, and I wrote a poem ๐๐ค๐๐
HA! I love this! And I love watching snails amble along! They are amazing! And the little silvery trail they can leave behind them is magical! ๐
This is such a delightful, creative, fun, smile-bringing posting, Ivor…photos, poem, and song/vid! ๐
As the little snail pokes along, Mr. J. Frost WILL arrive in a flash and will dispense wisdom/good advice…so all will be well! ๐ ๐

Haha โฆ Iโm definitely moving at snailโs pace these days โฆ. small critters always fascinate meโฆ the middle of the afternoon was a odd time for the snail to be climbing up my windowโฆ and wondered why?? ๐ฅถ๐๐ค๐๐๐ถ
When my grownup kids were little there was a song we used to sing about a snail…some of the words were…
“Be patient, be patient, don’t be in such a hurry,
When you get impatient you only start to worry…” ๐
Ha! here’s a vid of it…the song came out in the 1970’s.

What a delightful post, Ivor! ย โค ย This poem is magical! I love the photos.
I wish I knew a way to deter the slugs that crawl up on our walkways and patio to die! I feel very sorry for them.ย
