An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
What Happened to Motherland?, is up at Coffee House Writers Magazine
Hello dear readers and followers, I now write for “Coffee House Writers” magazine on a fortnightly basis, and my poem “What Happened to Motherland”, is in this week’s edition of Coffee House Writers Magazine. … please click on the link below to read my poem, at Coffee House Writers >>
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Exquisite poem! Lovely song! What a wonderful post, Ivor! ❤ ❤ ❤
Congrats, Ivor!
Such a sad, but important message in your poem….something everyone should ponder and be willing to help do something about.
(((HUGS))) ❤️
Thank you Carolyn .. I wrote this one the day of the Texas School massacre, sitting on a bench in our Village square .. my immediate surroundings seemed so peaceful and safe … but the sounds of children screaming and bullets shattering the air , were ringing in my mind 🥲🌏💕🌳

Thank you Sadje … It’s difficult to express fully my overall emotions about the horrendous shootings of innocent children, and the atrocities of the Ukraine war during these heartwrenching past months …. with tears in my eyes I just try to envisage the consequences of humanities/societies actions on the children in today’s world .. 😥🌏📘💔
