An Ending Before the End, or Beyond the Oasis

“And in the end” I wondered what was the artist’s underlying message, and in my imagination, this poem, is my abstract interpretation

An Ending Before the End, or Beyond the Oasis

An unsinkable planet
Ran aground in a desert

Did you see the end coming?
Maybe I have reached the end

Here
At the end of my quill
My blue ink well is dry
And dead cobwebs
Fill my window sill

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Another amazing trio, Ivor!!!
    Beautiful street art.
    Powerful, heart-touching poem.
And THAT song of Tom’s always brings the tears to my eyes.
(I always hit the song to play, then read your poem through twice, and quite often that combo brings some tears. 🙂 )
(((HUGS))) and hope your day is going well! Sir Frankie’s day, too! ❤️❤️
