Early July 2017, my blog/website was only 3 weeks old when I wrote this abstract poem, ‘Fruit Loopy’ … hmmm … and I am not sure what my thoughts were at the time … but I had only been in my new little abode for 5 months, and I was finishing off building the verandah, and starting to create a courtyard garden … I suppose I was “dreaming” about how much Carole would have loved my new home, so hence the “funny title”
Fruit Loopy
The juices of expectation
are upon me again.
Dreaming of yesteryear
and clambering for today.
Through my pores
a taste of sweetness.
My apple of love
the fruit for tomorrow.
Vale, Melaine Safka, she was one of kind

Powerful, poignant…sweet, and sensational, Ivor! The title of this post, the photo of your oasis of a courtyard 🙂 , your poem, and the song/vid! 🙂
Oh! I’ve always enjoyed Melanie! 🙂 I discovered her songs when I was a young girl and have listened to her music ever since. I was so sad when I heard she died. 😦
(((HUGS))) ❤️❤️❤️

Yes I was an avid fan of Melanie too and I’ve still got all her vinyls … she was great advocate for peace and love from glorious days when thought music would change the world into a betterer place 😊🌏😍☮️🎶

How are you keeping these day Ivor? Due to family issues I’ve been a bit absent from the blogging community for a good while.

I’m going ok, considering I’ve now got diabetes, I suppose it was eventually catch up with me … dad was a diabetic, and my younger brother is too … but I’m dieting according to instructions and walking more … success after 4 months … my blood sugar levels are now under control … Cheers, and I hope everything going ok for you now … 🌝🌏😍

Oh I’m glad to hear that you have got your blood sugar down. I’ve been diabetic since 2002 – all of diet controlled. It’s a lot easier now than then as we have so much better information to guide us.
Last week I would have said that all is better. Unfortunately, we now have an ill son, and are currently in hospital with him . He may need throat surgery.
