Yes, Frankie, proofreading all weekend was very tiring … “Until Eyes Hear Sound” is being Printed/published this week and will be here in time for the Clunes Book Fair.

I Am a Flickering Light Globe

I’ve been flattened by a truck

The brick wall has struck

Right between the earlobes

And my mind is a flickering light globe

Pick me up, Frankie

Throw me a fresh hanky

Proofreading β€œUntil Eyes Hear Sound”

Knocked me out of bounds

And preparing for the Clunes Book Fair

Has me as nervous as a shy koala bear

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. I only have one complaint Ivor. Please don’t perpetuate the name Koala with the word “Bear” after.
This is a thing that people from the US still use. They are not bears. I understand the rhyming but is one of those things, probably a “bugbear” for me.
