I am about to jump 

A leap of faith 

Toward the light 

 

Through the wires 

Across the oceans 

Over the horizon 

Into the universe 

Beyond eternity

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  4. So great, Ivor…your photos, your poem and the vid/song!
    The bird taking that leap to fly is a perfect pairing with your poem! Which came first…the photo or the poem?! 🙂
    We have big ravens and crows that sit on top light poles and up in the trees…when Coop and I walk by they talk to us. They can be quite loud. Just glad they don’t come down and land on me or little Coop. 😮
    Like that bird in your photo/poem, we all have to take leaps of faith in life…it’s good to take them with courage and surrounded by hope. 🙂
