Ah, there he is 

On that silly old computer again!

“Woof, woof, stop!”

As I stomp my paw

On the keyboard


“Woof, woof

It’s time for our walkies”

Then he pretends not to hear me


“WOOF, WOOF”, I bark louder!

“Yes! Ok, as soon as I finish the next verse

I’ll get your lead and off we’ll go”


“Yeah

woof, woof

he heard me that time”

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  6. Cooper here! Hey, Frankie, this is THE bestest poem I’ve ever read! I can relate! You’d think just because of our adorable cuteness our human-beans would always pay attention to us! 😉

    1. Woof woof, thanks Coop’s , as you know, it’s a tough life, always being expected to be the “adorable” doggie 🐶 , but no matter what, we still need our walkies 🐶😊🌏😍

  11. they will always GET our attention, no matter what, and if we don’t follow their cues, then, they “reward” us with the messes, and we get upset and we spank them for doing their business inside, when it was our faults to begin with, not getting them outside in time…and, our dogs are never the ones to blame for it!

  13. Woof, woof, Frankie! You show him who’s boss. Our cat does the same thing when she wants attention. She comes to us and taps us with her paw and then meows.😻🐶
