G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

How beautiful is nature in its unity and compassion.
This would be, an, idealistic, society, with, everyone watching, each other’s backs, to ensure that, nobody gets, left behind, but, unfortunately, this won’t work, in human cultures, because we only have our own interests, our own, benefits in mind to, consider, a lot of, times.
The birds know what they are at. The migration is beggining inward here, I saw my first geese of the year a couple of evenings ago. I miss them in the winter months and love seeing them. Nice pen
Us human-beans should be like the birds, but alas our wings are made of gunmetal, we wear boots covered with war-embers, and our little minds are full of self-greed πππ¦ π§πππ·πΆ thank you for your wonderful compliments Carolyn πππππ

We donβt want to learn as we think we know everything.

Beautiful photos! Powerful, fabulous poem! Lovely song/vid by Mr. Rudd!
I love birds! Watching birds! Feeding birds! Watering birds! Learning from birds! They are so good to each other, especially in flight! They make sure everyone is doing well and gets to their destination. If only human-beans were as caring, compassionate, and loving.

Thankfully, some warm, caring humans still guide and support us when we begin to lose our way. That was lovely, Ivor. π
