The Grey Sky Embellished My Snap Shots
Today’s sky was a vast picture frame
Like a historic painting of the clouds by Monet
Or an abstract slate cube by Picasso
The atmosphere’s filtered light
Was a perfect mono-tonal background
That silhouetted the flying fauna
And helped embellish my snap shots
Of the birds and dragonflies

A Lovely poem, Ivor and super skies to accompany it. I too am having difficulties keeping up with our blogging world. Time management and tiredness don’t blend well!

Thank you, Sue … Yes, tiredness has a lot to do with it, and I’m awfully slow on the keyboard, and getting slower, as the side effects of my strokes are becoming more pronounced with the ageing process

I’m sorry to hear about your side effects. All you can do is your best which is what you always do. 🙂

Thanks David … I stand next to a bush that they swarming around, and stay there without moving and click away … I might get a couple of dragonflies in 15 snaps! … Frankie, my doggie thinks I’m crazy 😜

I gotta ask… is “Frankie” short for “Frankfurter”? 🤪

Haha … Frankie was his name when I got him as 5 year old doggie

So wonderfully heart-touching, Ivor…your photos and your poem!
Even those grey skies nature provides can be beautiful…and we can find good in them. 🙂

Thank you kindly, Carolyn … yes, it was cloudy and damp, but me and Frankie still had fabulous time, me with my snaps, and Frankie running around like he was a 2-year-old
