Beyond the Dross and the Moss

Please Note: Derrick Knight took all the attached photos, and he kindly allowed me to reproduce them here on my poetry site.

Today’s poem is one of my verses made up of comments I posted on some of my fellow WordPress writers’ articles during the month … In stanza order, they are

Marisela > lamenting to Lee | words less spoken (wordslessspoken781842219.blog)
Claudia > Faerie Paths — Lost – Humoring the Goddess
Ben Alexander > On the back, or: My mind – The Skeptic’s Kaddish 🇮🇱 (skepticskaddish.com)
Derrick Knight > Sun, Sea, Spray – derrickjknight

Beyond the Dross and the Moss

Loneliness is an empty place
Nothingness is a blank space

I am not lost
Nor buried under the frost
I am just looking for the gloss
Beyond the dusty dross
And the encroaching moss

Tomorrow’s gap
It is not a trap
Zap!
There is a world map

Wild windy seas are wondrous lees
Like a wizard’s wok full of bees

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.
