Handcuffs and Fisticuffs
Climbing out of the darkness
The peaceful moom cautiously emerges
And involuntarily reflects our truthfulness
Are we self-consciously honest enough?
To read his self-evident messages
Are we able to undo our self-imposed handcuffs?
And cease our self-righteous fisticuffs

I hope so, too. Such a powerful, profound ponderable poem!
I’ve always been puzzled by human-beans who, in this vast amazing universe, think they are so all-important and strive so selfishly to be the center of attention, to get people to focus on them, ignoring those who need help, ignoring nature, ignoring the future of the world, etc. There are so many other things and creatures that, to me, are so much more important than us human-beans.
I am so grateful, so honored, to be a part of it all…even just to be a tiny speck…but as an individual, have the capacity to impact the world, and help people, positively, kindly, generously, and helpfully. π
Perfect song choice. π
