The Other Side
Looking for tomorrow
Is like crossing a one-way road
We stop!
Then look the other way
We are conditioned to turn
And look down the wrong way
Then step forward!
Hoping!
We are moving toward
The other side

I am not trying to make it to “the other side” right away, Ivor! Someday…
All joking aside, I always look both ways, even on a one-way street. You never know where bicycles, joggers, or even elderly drivers like us may be coming from. I know I said, “All joking aside,” but I just can’t seem to help myself today! π€£
You and Frankie, have a great day! ππΉππΎ π

Hi Ivor, I saw one of your poems at Michelle’s book which was published recently, It Ain’t Winning If Without You. She sent me a copy.π

By turning back constantly, we can’t, live in the now, and, we can’t, see our own, future possibilities, and, we get, trapped, and, we get, stuck!

Beautiful and sweet photos!
Powerful poem!
Did your weather cool down any yet?
We had cold then warmer…and now it’s cold again and snow and/or rain is predicted in the week ahead. π

Thank you kindly, Carolyn … I’m pleased you like my analogy about “tomorrow”, it’s an abstract view of things … Oh, it’s going to be hot again for a few days, but cooling down on the weekend … πππππΆπ

Thank you very much, Eugi … I happened to be crossing a one-way road the other day and thought, “why is it so?”
