Emotional Adrenaline






Emotional Adrenaline

After the adrenaline finishes flowing,
and my cup is full to overflowing
Will the winds of time ever stop blowing?

Have I the strength to keep going
against the undertow, while slowly rowing
upstream, toward the approaching unknown?

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Oh, thank you for your all of your fabulous words, Carolyn … it’s probably a poem that can be interpreted in different ways … a story about my life’s trials and tribulations … my emotions over these past few nostalgic weeks .. or, the challenges of my upcoming trip to Canada 😍🌏💕📘🇨🇦🐶

      2. Yes, visiting my cousins on Vancouver Island and then doing a road trip Wainwright (Alberta) to see my other cousin, will be “a dream come true” adventure for me, Cindy 🇨🇦😍🌏📘💕
