It’s Raining Cats and Dogs

It’s Raining Cats and Dogs

Mother Nature has spoken
The drought has broken

If it doesn’t rain, it pours
Towels at the bottom of the front door

The weatherman predicts
Seven days or more
From ‘Her’ bag of tricks

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. YAY for rain! I’m so happy for you! Maybe after a nice dance or walk in the rain (?), you and Frankie can plan to stay dry. 🙂 In our rainy season I always kept towels by the door to dry Cooper off after our rain walks. 🙂

    1. Oh the rain blowing in under the door … we had one walk at lunchtime when the rain eased off slightly, but by the time we got home we were wet, but not soaked 🐶💙😍🌏
