From high above the trees
Nature decrees
Winter solstice is here
With zero degrees
And a frosty veneer

Above sunset’s finale archway
Nature celebrated the shortest day
With an extravagant display
Of twilight’s vibrant pink ballet

Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  6. A beautiful vibrant pink ballet! 🩰 Gorgeous photos and a lovely verse. I wish I could send you some of our hot weather, dear Ivor. At 9AM, it was already 80ºF. By noon it was 85. It was a very strange morning …. the skies were dark gray, it was raining but not a single leaf was moving. The stillness was oppressive and the view outside our bedroom window was surreal. Around 10AM the thunder started. My grandmother liked to say thunder means the gods are angry. I’m sure the gods are very unhappy today. Big hugs to you and Frankie. 🐶💛🌏🧊💙🎶🖤🥵🌎💛🌧️

    1. Unbelievable … we’ve just had our morning walkie and it’s cool, but fine and sunny 🌞 although the wind was a bit chilly 😍🌏 … My car is still at the garage, hopefully it’ll be ready later today 🎶😊😍🌏🐶
