G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Hi Nancy, the photo is of St Helens Beach and Jetty on Corio Bay, only 4 km down the road from my place … At the moment I’m “computered out”, and hopefully things be betterer in the morning … whoops, it’s already morning … damn, I’ll be exhausted by then …

  1. Ivor, your closing lines—“please show me the way / Through the misty sea spray / And beyond the Blue Jay Causeway”—feel like a gentle plea wrapped in morning light from where I’m sitting. The whole piece strikes me as searching yet strangely soothing.

    1. Wowza, that so much for all of marvellous comments, Carolyn … and I always wonder at how my unrelated anecdotes seem to mingle together to produce a cohesive poem … yeah, I’m really enjoying Beluga Lagoon’s music these last few weeks … 🎶🌏😊😍📖🐶
