Beyond Sight (a Haiku)

Today, I became a 74-year-old plumber, and when I came home, I tried to be a 74-year-old poet, with a “Blue Screen Computer”. Without going into the gory details, I had a lot more fun being a 74-year-old plumber.

Good morning sunrise
I soak in daylight’s caress
Until eyes hear sound

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Happy Birthday, Ivor!
I’m sorry about the blue screen. It’s sad when our trusty old machines start to fade away. Are you planning on buying a new one? What did your brother advise?

      1. I hope he manages to fix it. I had a new hard drive put in my computer, but I also use a laptop, so hopefully, with less use, my computer will last a bit longer.

  3. Computer malfuction, these are, always, never easy to handle, especially when everything we do is on it, and, that’s the issue with technology, you don’t know when it’s going to, malfunction, but, we all, adapt the best we can, happy birthday!
