It’s now officially 24 hours since I woke up on Wednesday at 5.10 am, to begin my journey of travelling half way around the world. Wow … and still 6 hours travel time to go before I get to my cousins place on Vancouver Island
The buttocks are starting to really ache.
But not to worry, here I am writing words on my website.
Today’s trip has steadfastly confirmed that I do not sleep well on planes
However, how things have changed since my last international flight 6 years ago. I have inflight WiFi and I think the food is betterer,or is it because this time I am flying with Air New Zealand. And damn, the guy sitting next to me has just slept 6 hours straight.

The butt is numb, eh? You need to walk around when you can. At least the guy next to you gave you some peace instead of yapping your ear off! I haven’t flown in a very long time and don’t miss it one little bit. It’s amazing how every seat back has a screen lit up! Counting down the hours, dear Ivor. It won’t be much longer now. 😎✈️🌅🍱🌊🇨🇦💛

1 hour bus trip at the start. Flying time has been 17 hours and then there’s the airport stops

I had dinner on the plane with under 2 hours to go and then when I got to my cousins at Vancouver Island, I dinner again … things will be back in sync when I wake up in the morning, Derrick

I’ve never been on a long haul flight, but, like you, I wouldn’t be able to sleep either. The proximity to all the other passengers would put me off. 🙂
