On the Edge of Finality

A small reflection on the strange path from understanding to uncertainty, and the fragile line between what feels real and what feels lost.

On the Edge of Finality

Physically,
and enigmatically,
Scaling life’s realities
has critically
reached obscurity.

Combined with humanity’s
vanity, inanity, and insanity
and lack of morality –
brutally –
finality
is not an impossibility.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Such stunningly gorgeous photos!
Such a truthful important timely message in your poem! Each day waking up and wondering what sad or bad happenings the world has to offer.
But each day waking up being comforted by, getting hope from, the sun in the day and the moon at night. 🙂
Such a fabulous Hozier song. His songs always have such deep vital meaning.
    (((HUGS))) 🧡💛❤️
