On Monday a Geelong Writers poetry group went to Rachinger Gallery in East Geelong for an Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop. Here I am presenting the painting, “Owl” by, Gale Jarmyn, and my associated Ekphrastic poem “Will We Choose Wisely”
My poem “Winter Slaps Autumn in the Eye” was one of 17 selected for publication in the Geelong Writers, “Winter Solstice Challenge” Brochure. Below is a photo of how the poem appears in the Geelong Writers Brochure
This evening I went to the book launch of The Geelong Writers, Anomaly Street (Poetry With A Difference), a twice-yearly collection of poetry that creates jolts for flatlined minds, and to the editor, Jo Curtain, for selecting my poem. Yes it’s that time of the year … Here is another annual Anthology that my poems have been published in. This is one has been produced and published by the Belmont Page Writers group and superbly edited by our convener Claudia Collins. Three of my poems were published in this fabulously presented Anthology. They were, “Have We The Backbone?”, “Out There, Right Now”, and “Afloat”

List night Geelong Writers Inc. launched the 2nd Issue of this year’s AnoMaly Street, Chapbook Publication (Poetry with a difference), and I am honoured to have my piece “Faerie Runnels” selected in this superbly produced journal. It’s always a great thrill for me to have my poems represented in a locally produced and published book. The Below Photo/Scan shows how my poem appears in the book. “Faeries Runnels” also appears in new book “Perceptions”(page 41)
Last night I attended the Geelong Writers Inc. monthly dinner/get together, which also featured the Book Launch of their new bi-annual Chapbook, Anomaly Street, and if you read the photo/scans attached below, you will understand my excitement of being selected in this outstanding collection of poetry with a difference, that creates jolts for flatlined minds ..
