Because (a Haiku)

Because (a Haiku)

Hi Kerri, my little poem here has nothing to do with you, except for a deliciously tasty cheesecake and coffee … However, from way over here in Geelong, Australia, this lovely Aussie song (1970) is for you and us …

Because

Coffee and cheesecake

Away from a world of snakes

The day’s scrumptious break

Mindless (a Haiku)

Oh, children,children

Really you need nappies

You’re in the wrong aisle

Love and Snow (a Haiku)

This Haiku are the words I wrote in a comment box to ‘Cheryl, Gulf Coast Poet’, for her post >> Summer Rain | Gulf Coast Poet … A big thank you to Cheryl for being the inspiration for my poem ..

Love and Snow

The rains come and go

Summer’s good times turn to snow

Joyous hope still grows

Hinged by winter wind

After, (a Haiku)

After, (a Haiku)

At the morn I peep

Eyes open wide to the light

Seeing future moons

My old heads in the clouds

Will my kite fly too

Red and Ripe, a Haiku

The three shades of red

Fresh, medium, and ripened

A delicious taste

Planet Who? (a Haiku)

Planet Who? (a Haiku)

We trash our planet

With disdain and dirty tears

No matter who rule’s
