Waiting In Line

Please Note: The Idyll winery estate, located in the picturesque Moorabool Valley area, is only 15 km from my front door, and are well renowned for their award winner Cabernet Sauvignon blends … 2021 – New York International Wine Competition – Idyll Victoria Cabernet Sauvignon – Gold

Waiting In Line

lazing in a valley of vines

under the summer sunshine

with a bottle of Idyll wine

drank in no time

dandy and sublime

heeds no rhyme

beyond an imaginary climb

along the river of time

that awaits a final line

after life’s closing pantomime

New Windows

New Windows

The day after

Flying around this old tree

Life is slowly coming back to me

I step away from my “Itmims” sleigh

To embrace the new world

And give celebrations another whirl

With a life full of joy

My journey continues

To dance through

Lockdown’s open windows

Nurture, Give, and Receive

Nurture, Give, and Receive

It’s a material world

That leaves us in a whirl

What we really need

Is a planet without greed

That needs our minds to proceed

By growing and nurturing her seeds

Then our journey becomes that of the giver

Rather than being nature’s grieving receiver

Pool Patterns

Future Skies

An old graceful world

Shimmers upon mirrored pond

Timeless images

Nature’s blameless history

Awaits future smogless skies

Christmas Lights

Season’s greetings to all my “WordPress Friends and Followers”

Featured Image: Geelong Floating Xmas Tree-2 | Russell Charters | Flickr

Today on Weekly Prompts the Wednesday challenge is: CHRISTMAS DINNER. Please visit their fabulous site by clicking on >> Here. .. and my poem ‘Christmas Lights’ is in response to their prompt …

Christmas Lights

A year of standing alone

Without the normal crowd

Talking to no one

Silence was far too loud

Shut in and locked down

Disinfected and scoured

Months of writer’s cramps

An elbow’s old nerve soured

Numbness travels to hand

Dumbness seemed to be allowed

December’s faltering days

Turned into Christmas lights

And a New Year causeway

Seems to be within sight
