Ivor Steven (c) 2018
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems. I wrote a few copies for my nurses, and I photographed one, and another one I stuck up on my whiteboard. I’m feeling betterer today. I’ve had my procedure but no results for a day or 2, so I’m still here in isolation, but I’m allowed out of my room with a mask on. 😊 I’m still not blogging, I promised myself I wouldn’t start up again until I was fully recovered 🙄😉 I’m happy you liked my hand written poem, my poem was an insightful one, and the hand written version seemed to give it a good feel xx

Your the one that’s said something about my hand writing.
The spray they used to numb my nasal, has left me sneezing and sniffling all the time.
Hopefully I can get a good sleep tonight 😀😴❤️

Good Evening Ivor. 7.30 am here and it’s your evening; see, I got it right today! I’m glad the procedure is over with. Fingers crossed that in a day or so they’ll find out what is wrong and can begin to treat the infection appropriately.
Another great poem, you should be able to create a whole book of hospital poems if you stay there much longer! 🙂

A mask? Next you’ll be wearing your underpants on top of your trousers! What logo are we going for on the chest? I suggest a treble clef with 3 M’s. You could be Mighty Music Man! Either that or 3 P’s, Prolific Plumber Poet!
