G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Wonderful! You take the reader right into the middle of your furnace.
Weโve had another sprinkling of overnight snow, so a little of your heat would be most welcome right now. ๐
That is very very hot and far too much for me. At the moment it’s -3ยฐC here. I would send you snow if we had more than an overnight sprinkling. I understand other parts of the country have had far more than we have up here in the chilly North. โ๏ธ
Yeowza! I can feel the heat! ๐ฎ And your poem ending is perfect! ๐
Hope you and Yorkie feel cooler soon! ๐ And remember the cool days and the rainbows will return. ๐
Wow! That is a favorite song, but I’ve never heard that version before. I shall put it in my playlist so I can listen to it over and over again. Thank you, Ivor!
HUGS!!! ๐
PS…That song is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes. ๐
BTW: Have you ever heard this version of Sounds of Silence? It’s been a fav of mine for several years.
Yes Carolyn I love this version, very powerful, probably the best cover of this great song… Oh ….I went to see Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs play there song back in 1966 !!… My poem is one pieces that came out well,… Thank you , you’re a darling to me xxx
We’ll be ready for it by then for sure. (I actually like snow and cold weather. And hot and sunny weather. But oh those fall colors and temps are what my soul is most comfortable in.)
lol Billy Thorpe, met him as a kid on the street of a small country town …. I went gaga and Mum had no idea why ๐
Was just woken by a good downpour of rain, the earth is thirsty ๐
We here in North Carolina USA (in the south) have been hit with an Arctic Blast of cold the last few days…suppose to be โgiftedโ a bit of a warm up the next few days…keep โCoolโ Ivor!!!
