G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems. There was a hidden Ivor story beneath the words, but don’t worry, they’re my emotional thoughts ππ

Haiku’s can be so expressive, in a few words. I’m enjoying my ability to put meaning into such a small format, thank you Gina ππ€

Ivor, your poetry is beautiful and humbling. I made it all the way down to “Words of Mine”. I’m sorry for the physical pain you have endured! I can’t imagine it. Your blog is inviting, and I’m glad I’m following your words that fulfill! How sweet are you? Very!πβΊ Thank you dear man for sharing your wonderful words that say So much for each poem is a gift to recall on another day!

Actually my Haiku’s words are a bit like Ray’s song. The embracing coastal breezes and warm sand dunes, never leave me (like Carole), his beautifully haunting lyrics explain it so well.
“Will I always feel this way
So empty and estranged”
