G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

YAY!!!! So glad you are flew high and got to your destination!
So very glad you will continue to “fly high” in fun, laughter, adventures, etc! π
HUGS!!! π
Haha, already had some sleep, I’m New York time now !! I wrote them during my 22 hour flight yesterday, actually I wrote 3, so there’s another one to come, about to get up and see some of New York… Yeah.. ππ½
So glad you arrived safe and sound. I thought about you. Love your poems. Yes You definitely travelled backwards, you were eleven hours in front of me and now youβre five hours behind!
Right now, I wish you a lovely evening but for me itβs bedtime. Goodnight Ivor. π
Thank you Sue my first day has been interesting, of very tired, but I managed to get see Broadway, and walk around the city, mind boggling πβΊοΈπ½. I’ve had a late afternoon rest, nearly 7pm and I’ll go out for dinner. This is a great spot, Central Park out the front day and lovely eating precinct two blocks away. ππ½
It sounds so exciting. I’m thrilled that you are finally doing this.
It’s morning again for me 06:45 AM and I’m just about to start my day by catching up with my Reader over my first coffee. You on the other hand after such a long and tiring day will have ended your first day in New York. Hope your Friday is just as exciting as yesterday. π
This is the best poem I have read about air travel! Glad you made it safe and sound. Will you be seeing the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building? The top of the Rock and Rockefeller center are also my favorites! What foods have you eaten?
I found a lovely Italian restaurant near my hotel have eaten there twice. “Isola on Columbus” and I had a breakfast picnic in the “Park” I made it myself ππ
Yay! Sounds like youβre getting your bearings there. I love all the little restaurants that donβt look like much but serve such great food! A breakfast park picnic sounds lovely!
I’m in Philadelphia tonight, this is bliss !! With cousin Maureen, after meeting some of my American tribe..
Going to bed now, elated and my veins are overflowing with joy ππππ
Kisses!!!!
