G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  3. Wow Ivor, what a great post!
    And that song…profound.
I think some people just don’t want their hearts to change, and put up resolute walls against God’s calls to them to change their hearts. It is my personal belief that He isn’t a puppet master. Ugh, very tricky. Great song! Thank you for posting all of this.

      1. I know! I struggle to understand that they don’t seem to care about their own children and grandchildren’s future…everything is about the short term. We seem to always have to learn the hard way, then whatever the lesson is, is only remembered for a short while anyway.
        And I am okay, thanks!
        How are you?

      2. I had the poem “happens to the heart” in my poetry collection, but the video is stunning. And “The Goal” , only heard of it a week ago…. and they are both, wow factor….
